Lacy Wayne Prince, age 79, of Boiling Spring Lakes, NC, passed away on July 31, 2021. He is survived by his daughter Wanda Binkley, son, Tommy Prince (Judy), daughter, Joyce Christmas (Mitch), son, Michael Prince, 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a sister, Nancy Jernagin. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jean (Jeannie) Marie Prince.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years, then worked for CP&L for 20 years before retiring. He loved to fish, and really enjoyed entering the Southport King Mackerel tournament when he was able.
We are so grateful that Wanda was able to live with him and take care of him and mom until their deaths. We would like to thank Liberty Hospice in Brunswick County, especially his nurse, Susan and Desiree, his aide.
Arrangements are in the care of Coastal Cremations, 6 Jacksonville Street, Wilmington, NC.

I am so sorry for your loss. Lacy was the best Supervisor I ever had in my forty years employment with CP&L, Progress Energy, Duke Energy. Lacy was not only a Supervisor he was also a cherished friend. Lacy truly understood his crew and would stand in the gap for us whenever necessary. You will be missed my friend.
