Edward George King Jr. was born February 6, 1937 in Randall, New York. Son of the late Edward George King Sr. and Mary Elizabeth King, Ed served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1956 where he received a National Defense Service Metal for his time served in Korea. After his discharge, he worked many years in farming and many more years in plant maintenance, he was known as a jack of all trades. He was the last surviving and oldest of six children. Two brothers Charles E King and Terry L King, and three sisters Rosemary, Carol, and Donna. Left to cherish his memory is his grandson that he raised since birth, Erick Young Jr. of Southport, NC and his children, two sons and three daughters, Edward King Jr of the home and Erick Young sr of Autryville NC, Kimberly DeRose of Sahuarita AZ, Kelly Delos of Amsterdam NY and Tammy slater location unknown. Also survived by sixteen plus grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was a resident of Whiteville, NC when he passed away peacefully with family at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington NC.
