Ann Justine Michaels of Calabash, NC, passed away on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at her home surrounded by her husband and family after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 29th, 1947 in Kingston, NY, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Verna (Pearson) Noble. Ann was married in 1970 to Richard J. Michaels. She had been a longtime resident of Saugerties, NY and was employed at Central Hudson for many years. She spent the last ten years of her life doing what she loved most: golfing, traveling the world and doting on her grandchildren. In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by three children, Richard D. Michaels (Stacey) of New Hartford, NY, Lisa Michaels of Mamaroneck, NY, and Karyn Pavich (Johnny) of Astoria, NY, as well as five grandchildren, Daniel & Matthew Michaels and Ivo, Marko & Lana Pavich. She is also survived by her sister Pamela Carroll (John) of Bernville, PA and her brother Paul V. Noble (Regina) Port Charlotte, FL. One sister Karen E. Noble predeceased her. A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at the VFW in Calabash, NC on Friday, May 11 at 11am. Interment will be private. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Ann’s memory to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation.Arrangements are in the care of Coastal Cremations, Carolina Shores, NC.
